Hi All,
My husband and I are moving to Khartoum in a few months. We are both fairly active and are looking for ways to get exercise while we are living in Khartoum. Are there any gyms with modern equipment and if so what are the prices like? Are they open to men and women at the same time? What about sports teams or running locations? Thanks! |

I can only think of one place with modern gym facilities and that is the gym at Rotana Hotel near Arkawit but the membership is pretty expensive (like everything else in Khartoum). If I'm not mistaken, the membership costs like US$680 for 3 months but you can use the gym & swimming pool. There shouldn't be a problem with women working out because many expats go there.
Not sure about sports teams but I do see people jogging along the Nile River in the afternoons. Hope that helps
