Re: We want to get married in Tahoe, but need a TON of help! Posted: Sun September 23, 2007 03:58 AM UTC
Congratulations! Tahoe is one of the most spectacular places on the planet and a great choice for a romantic wedding. Of course, in November the weather may determine your choice of a spot. Over the years I've seen people get married in some great places--at the top of Heavenly at the lodge, on the beach at Edgewood Gold Course (clubhouse is open year round and a great place for a romantic meal afterward), on the trail to Eagle Falls above Emerald Bay, and out in the middle of the lake on a chartered boat. I prefer the north side because of all the crowds on the south side, and I recommend the Hyatt in Incline Village (www.laketahoehyatt.com). It is absolutely beautiful, and although it has a casino it is a very small part of the entire hotel, so that it keeps the Mountain ambiance with elegance and romance and without all the glitz and neon of the South Tahoe casinos. It has much to offer in terms of beautiful locations throughout for a wedding. Its Lone Eagle Grill is a wonderful restaurant for celebrating after. My suggestion would be to stay at the Hyatt and if the weather is nice, get married on the beach at Sand Harbor--the right side where all the spectacular boulders are (use google images to see how beautiful it is if you havn't been there) Good luck and congratulations!
