Hi! I'm an italian girl and I' ve to go to Cugir (since october to march) to work in a school as a language assistant, can you say to me all about this city? Thank you a lot!!!

According to my map, Cugir is a little town at the foot of a carpatian mountain slope between Orastie and Sebes. It is about 80 km west from Sibiu and around 350 km north-west from Bucuresti. A small road leads to it but seemingly stop there, you would have to walk if you want to go further up to the mountain. You will also need a car to move around although there is a railway station at Aurel Vlaicu 15 km to the north. I don’t know more about it.

Cold, poor and entertainmentless.
Allmost a "ghost town" based on one major factory ( going bankrupt now ) lot of unemployed peoples. Estimated populatoin: 35.000 peoples. 55 km from capital of county ( nice city ) 90 km from Sibiu capital of Sibiu county ( nice too ) 40 km from Deva capital of Hunedoara county ( also nice ). Nice landscape ( mountainous ) cold almost all year long. Conjuction in Sibot Train Station ( not Aurel Vlaicu ) with commuter train.

I forgot: capital of county is Alba Iulia.
Tips: Avoid the gipsy, many of them can rob you, not all, some are fine people. Italian language is alike romanian language, can use better than english.
