Bath London to Bath and back

We plan a one or two night trip to Bath, and will come off the Eurostar from Paris on Sunday afternoon. I believe it will then be arriving at St Pancras station.

Is it possible to catch a train direct from St Pancras to Bath? And what would the cost of that be for two adults, compared to hiring a car?

How long would the train trip take?
Or how long would it take to drive there?

www.nationalrail.co.uk for train timetables and fares choose Bath Spa as the atation). Trains to Bath go from London Paddington. Takes around an hour and a half. Return fares around 47. You could get a slightly cheaper fare by booking two single tickets instead of areturn, but to do this you would have to meet the 'advance' criteria. Click on the individual ticket type on the left of the fares section for criteria.

Driving in London is pretty horrible, and it will take longer then the train, at least 2 hours. It could take much longer if you hit traffic congestion! Not worth doing (and with petrol and parking would cost around the same anyway, if not a bit more).
