Hi i am a little confused about Sri Lanka.... Everywhere say's different things!!!!

How many cigs can i take in + out?

What brands of cigs do they sell there?

What Plug adapter will i need... 3pin or 2pin?

How much currency can i take in?

What currency to take?

i am going for 3 weeks from Middle of Oct... what's the weather gonna be like?

We have transfer's included.. but would it be better to take a taxi?

if yes how much will it be to Beruwala?

How much on average is a 3 course meal?

Are there casino's & Nightclubs in Beruwala?

Is the Palm Garden nice?

is it better to get tours/excursions through hotel or privately?

Is topless sunbathing allowed?

Sorry it's so much but i can't find a set answer anywhere????

I am surprised that you have gone ahead and booked a holiday knowing so little about where you are going and what to expect there.
Haven't the Tour Compay you booked with been able to provide the answers to your queries?

We had a fabulous time there and since then three of our ( young adult) children have fallen in love with it too.

Unless you enjoy driving on dodgy roads along with eccentric drivers I would take tours from your hotel or with your travel company.
Have a great time - relax, go with the flow and don't worry about it. You will enjoy it.
(Sorry non-smoker so can't help you at all on that one. )

Sorry - forgot to mention currency is Sri Lanka Rupee and you will be able to withdraw from ATMs.

number of cig can be taken in - no idea
what brands- dunhill. pall mall, benson, goldleaf
plug adapters - we havve a multi plug 1USD which have both round and square in one. 240 power.
USD< GBpound or most develop currency is ok... change out of airport for better deals.
3 couser meals are hard to get, usually all hotel have buffets...... prices vary for locals to foreign
no casinos in beruwala, only in colombo... but most tourist get VIP entrance to casinos
royal palm is also good with lots of crabs and giant prawns , check, benthota beach hotel has super layout
private tours maybe cheaper but maybe risky,
lol topless ............. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Thankyou for your response... i have actually looked into Sri Lanka a great deal... but there are so many different answers that contradict each other i didn't know what to believe... so who better to ask than people that have been before!

hi I would pick up a rough guide or lonely planet, a small price to pay for a lot of answers and if you want to enjoy the local culture etc would be useful

I think most of your questions have been answered except for..

You can’t take duty free cigs in anymore, a couple of open 20 packs about your person is ok but they will charge tax you for any more than that. You can buy them cheaply in Sri Lanka.

You can take in up to £2500

I would not advise topless sunbathing, it will get you lots of attention you may not want

You can take in of course take in more than £2500 but you should declare it. The real restriction is on the amount of SL Rupees that you can take in (I think its about 5000)but you can change money at the airport. Keep your receipts when you change money so you can change back any surplus at the airport on the way out, they ain't much use to you outside Sri Lanka.
