Charleroi - Amsterdam: Take the airport shuttle to Brussel, and the train to Amsterdam from there. Trains from Brussel to Amsterdam vv run hourly.
From Amsterdam to Gent: Take the train from Amsterdam to Brussel, but get of in Antwerpen, where you can take a train to Gent. (No need to pass through Brussel). From Gent to Charleroi airport: Take train Gent to Brussel (runs three times per hour) and take the shuttle bus to thecharleroi airport.

an alternative way to travel between Charleroi airport and Brussel is to take a bus from the airport to the Charleroi railway station, and take a train from there. This will probably not be faster, but offers more flexibility, as it is more frequent.

Train schedules are at www.nmbs.be. Railway tickets can be bought from the ticket office at the station. Best thing would be to buy a roundtrip Brussel - Amsterdam - Gent - Brussel ticket.

Hi everyone!

everybody is talking about the shuttle service at charleroi airport, which runs a coach every one hour for 11 euro.

why don't you try charleroitransfer.com?? I always use this company. charleroitransfer.com offers a door-to-door ride between charleroi airport and brussels for 16 euro per person!!! and they make a direct connection to your flight whenever it is! you don't have to wait one hour like for the shuttle, but maximum 15 minutes.

it is like a taxi, just doesn't cost 100 euro.

charleroitransfer.com takes you home in front of your door or from your door to the airport 7/24

I'm an expat and travel at least once a week. I always use charleroitransfer.com and I'm more and more satisfied with them!

Danny

I want to warn you about using charleroitransfer

I booked online their service, from my private address in Brussels to the Charleroi airport, paying by credit card.

Unfortunately nobody came to pick me, and I even didn't receive any SMS or call from charleroitransfer.com !!!

I tried to contact both their call center and their Belgian phone number, but nobody answered. I checked all my contact details on my reservation, and I saw that everything was correct (address, time, flight number, mobile phone number). As a result of their inefficiency, I had to call urgently a taxi to go to the airport (this costed me 165 euros).

So don't use charleroitransfer.com , because they are not reliable at all, and even in case of disservice you will never get refunded.

If you look carefully at their website they don't show any legal address of their company, or the name of a contact person: they must be a "ghost company"!
