We will be arriving in Aix on the first Sunday in November. Are restaurants, shops and supermarkets open, or is everything closed on Sundays?

Some shops like the boulangerie and boucherie may be open in the morning . You might even find a supemarket open til noon but generally shops do not open on Sundays. Sunday Luch is a big family event in France so most restaurants will be open - but either make a reservation in advance or get there early.

Aix is a very touristic city, unlike others cities in france everything is open, u will find a boulangerie open 7j/7 and 24h/24h on the top of the Cours mirabeau, big supermarkets will be closed but lots of small ones will be open until approximately 20h
