Hello there,
I am actually traveling to Tehran, Iran after 12 years this Nouroz. I was wondering if anybody knows any best tourist tour around Iran. I would actually like to see the more historical cities around and concentrate on my heritage. Please let me know which tour would be the best. I am not looking for a very high class nor fancy one and I do speak Farsi well enough to get me around, I just want a tour that could and would have no trouble. Especially when it comes to my age and gender 21 year old girl. Please let me know if I am going to have trouble finding a tour who would accept me being there or do I have to bring in somebody else with me since I am a young girl? Thanks a lot. |

hi.
do you have a family or a friend to stay with during Nooroz? otherwise, that is the worst time of the year for a 'foreign' tourist to tour the country since accommodation are usually very hard to come by and outrageously expensive as well, for one thing. you certainly don't need a 'bodyguard' to tour Iran as a lone 21-year-old gal. meanwhile, the tours offered at that time of the year will be way too expensive. you would have to contact online travel agencies like 'iranianvisa.com' or key2persia and compare everything including fees of course. take care.bye.

Hello,
I went to Iran last summer (June 06) with Global Exchange. GX arranged a tour through Pasargad Tours, their office is in Tehran. The total cost of the trip (for 2 weeks), including hotel stays, transportation in Iran and 3 meals/ day was: $2100. Please note this does not include airfare to/from Iran. We visited Yazd, Shiraz, Esfahan and Tehran and I have to say it was so great that I didn't want to come home. ;-) I met some really nice people and made some good friends while there, in fact I went back to visit again recently. This time I went to Kish to see the friends I met the previous year. It's a beautiful country, I'm sure you'll have an excellent time.
