Im a 19 year old from Texas flying into Santiago on September 26th.. after that i have no plans. PLEASE give me any advice that you have to offer... where to go, what hostels to stay in, how to get from Santiago to Cusco, Argentina, Easter Island... anything at all would be helpful.. i have just realized that i am ridiculously unprepared... PLEASE offer any insight that you might have.

Samuel, perhaps it might help if you indicate how long you plan to stay in South America. Depending on how you arrive in Chile, a LAN Airpass would be worth checking out, you would have to arrive on LAN or a member of the One World Alliance in order to purchase it and you would have to buy it prior to departing the USA. The distances here are great and the international road system is a challenge. As for getting to Easter Island there is only one way and that is via LAN Airlines. As for Argentina, where do you plan to go, it is a rather large country? Maybe expounding a bit or reading up a bit on South America will better prepare you to ask questions that will actually get you some assistance with your trip.
