Im a 19 year old from Texas flying into Santiago on September 26th.. after that i have no plans. PLEASE give me any advice that you have to offer... where to go, what hostels to stay in, how to get from Santiago to Cusco, Argentina, Easter Island... anything at all would be helpful.. i have just realized that i am ridiculously unprepared... PLEASE offer any insight that you might have.

You have very little time to plan. You need to get a good guidebook or two and do some serious reading. What you really need to find is the best way to get yourself from one place to another for the amount you want to spend. Work that out first and then check travel forums for any tips on those routes. Then you can check what you want to see in each place.
