If you mean King of Prussia Mall, it is not an outlet center. It's just a big mall, with the same stores you can find in NY and similar prices. If you do want to go to an outlet center, the absolute best in the area is Woodbury Common, which is about 80 minutes from Manhattan, in New York State. If you Google "Woodbury Common bus" you will find day trips to that mall from NY.

I knew a girl from Poland who pronounced it "King of Pressure," which is absolutely dead-on right in my book!

I second the Woodbury Common input.
If you are set o Pennsylvania, I would go to the outlets at Peddlers Village in Lahaska.

My company headquarters are next to King of Prussia mall... hehehe, loved the "King of Pressure", I'll say this way next time ;)))

So, I've been there many times, I've to say it's quite convenient for me due to good exchage of USD vs Euro! But I would not travel all the way from NYC, as said above is not an outlet but a normal shopping mall (even a HUGE one)

If you want to go there anyway, I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza hotel and it's quite good, right in front of one of the entrances of the mall. You'll find details on my King of Prussia VT page. From NYC a cheap way to travel to Philly is taking the Chinatown buses (Apex bus). I guess there are buses from central Philly to the mall too (not sure, my company paid me a taxi).

But again, is not the kind of place I'll go if just for shopping, even it may be convenient if you're going there for other reasons or it's on your way to somewhere else.
