Ningbo Travel Forum

This is will be the first time I going to Ningbo. Which will be the convenience way to Ningbo? Any direct flight from Singapore.

Really not sure if there's any direct flight for Singapore -- Ningbo. Try checking with Singapore Airlines and China Eastern. If these 2 airlines don't, then I think you'll have to fly to Hangzhou or Shanghai then take a train/bus to Ningbo.

Fly to Shanghai, Pudong airport. I believe it is possible to get a plane to Ningbo, even though is is a short distance as the crow flys. I did fly there many years ago.

The problem is the time to drive to Ningbo is 4 to 5 hours, until the new bridge opens. You can also take a ferry from Shanghai to Ningbo. I haven't tried this, but I wish I had last time I went there. We took the train last time. It is slow and boring, but safer than car. It took 4 hours if I remember right. I heard the ferry is only 1 hour.

Yes, possible to fly Shanghai -- Ningbo, but as far as I know only from Shanghai Hongqiao airport, not Shanghai Pudong airport.
Thus if you want to fly you'll still have to spend time and money to get across town. Might as well go for a bus or train. It won't be much more time, and it'll be a lot cheaper.
