Hi VTers,

on behalf of a user in "my other forum", I am asking this.

Does anybody know if there are any "last minute" bookings possible for ship trips from Ushuaia into Antarctica ?
This, for low seasons, of course.
It would make sense, as the companies might like to get their boats full.

I'd appreciate your help - just post here, I'll give him the link to this forum.

Yes, there are last minute bookings, but for most of them you have to go to a travel agent in Ushuaia and sit and wait until something turns up. The season genarally runs from November til about march, so there isnt really a low season.

Hi, I can think of any off the top of my head, but the place I hired my boots from (check my tips for the name) and I believe there is one or two listed in the lonely planet guide book. Sorry I cant be of more help.

Well, so back to the good old boooks :-) I didn't find any boot hiring place in your tips, which are restaurant and accommodation. Sorry for bothering.
