Hi to All,
My Family of 4(Hubby&Wife & 2boys, 10yrs & 11 yrs)will be visiting Xiamen in end Nov 2007(10-days F & E).
We wd like to visit Xiamen,GuLangYu, JiMei, Zhangzhou, YongDing(Hakka Houses), WuYiShan etc.
Pls advise on:
1) 10-Days Itinerary (Xiamen--Xiamen).
2) Budget Hotels (Non-Smoking)----Rates(Xiamen, Zhangzhou, YongDing,WuYiShan)
3) Coaches or Rail (Fares).
4) Eateries.
5) Places of Interests.
6) Weather/Temp./Clothings

i just came back from Xiamen and wuyishan this june. spent 4 nights, and 2 night train nights to Wuyishan from Xiamen, and 1 night at wuyishan.

for xiamen, i stayed in wai mao hotel and Gem hotel(ZhongSan Lu) and i think Gem hotel is a better choice. I booked standard room per nite is about RMB248 including breakfast.

booked package trip to wuyishan from xiamen agency for RMB680 which includes return night train(from xiamen to wuyishan is about 7pm - 7am) aircon, 1 night hotel stay in wuyishan, 2 dayst our guide, 2 lunch, 1 dinner, 2 breakfast. Think its better to book the package before going to wuyishan, at least when you reach wuyishan, someone will be there to pick u up from the train station. Tour guide brought us to climb the tip of wuyishan and also for tea session, 2hrs nine stream float ride, which is almost all about wuyishan.

the train stay, u may want to pay more to stay in a cabin for just 4 person, which is slightly more as compare to common cabin. you may look at my travel page for the picture.

Gulangyu... i used about 1 day F&E walk. its a small island. dont worry, you won't get lost in that island.

Cant help you in JiMei, Zhangzhou, YongDing(Hakka Houses) as i didn't travel to these places.

No offence but have you tried looking in guidebooks, online or perhaps even at travel agency itineraries? You sound like you need to do a bit of basic research. What you're asking for would be answered by a tour itinerary... we're not tour agents here to help you plan your trip, we're fellow travellers!

Well, I do answer A LOT of questions on various travel forums and I answer to the best of my ability.
However that's no excuse to not do any homework! If you can't spend time to research your own holiday, why should I do so for a holiday that I won't be going on?

I see that you're Singaporean. I guess that explains a lot of things then.

2) THE ARROGANT LITTLE PRINCESS.
3) KNOW LITTLE, TALK A LOT.
4) SINGAPORE'S GEYLANG SHANGHAINESE PRINCESSES.
5) THE SHANGHAI CABARET GIRLS (1930s).
6) THE SKILFUL SHANGHAINESE BABES.

I'd read these very interesting books from libraries in Singapore, Taiwan, London, Los Angeles and Sydney.
