We are taking a tour to Tunisia in April. Where would be the best places to buy gold jewelry? We will be in Tunis and Sousse along with some other cities. I would like to buy from a reputable jeweler. Do they sell 14kt, 18kt or 22kt gold in Tunisia? Is gold a good buy there? Do they sell gold jewelry in the medina souks in Tunis?

Yes they do, and they'll see you coming a mile away, you will get the tourist price, and get very ripped off, probably by a guy who's got a brother, uncle, sister or whatever in Liverpool, etc.
We found a very nice, and apparently honest guy in a shop in Jerba, but yes they do have some lovely gold.

Do you have the name and location of the store you bought the jewelry in at Jerba? I think the tour might stop there. Do they sell 14kt, 18k, 22k, or 24kt gold in Tunisia?

There is a large gold souk in the city of Tinis, most of the gold is 14ct.
You do have to haggle hard.

In the medinas of Tunis and Sousse there is a souk which is exlusively buying gold and jewelry.
The souk of Tunis is called "Soulk El Birka"; it is easy to find, all u have to do is to reach the "Government Yard" (Place du gouvernement) u can ask any policeman there, he will show the way it is about 50 m from there.

I had some very nice iced coffee in the Goverment Yard in Tunis.
We had just got off the train and needed a drink before going into the medina.
