I will be in Kusadasi on the cruise ship Millenium the end of this month. We will have two days there. I planned on one day in Ephesus (is that enough or too much time?)but am looking for suggestions for the second day. Should we visit Selcuk and is it possible to get there without a car or tour?

I just read about the town Sirince. Is it worth visiting and what is the easiest way to get there?

Hello LLKC, do Ephesus and Mary's house one day, Sirince and Selcuk the next, not much at Selcuk (castle was out of bounds)or Sirince and if not on a tour, there must be dolmus from Selcuk to Sirince but can't find any listed so maybe just a tour from Kusadasi.To get to Selcuk from Kusadasi take a local dolmus, every 15 mins see here

I would recommend Sirince as a place to visit. We spent the morning and early afternoon at Ephesus and then drove to Sirince in the afternoon. There was a huge market that winds through the town. The specialty there is wine made from fruit. We had it at the restaurant and bought bottles to take with us. The handicrafts made there were very interesting. I definitely think it is worth a visit. At dinner we ate in a restaurant lit by kerosene torches, the food there was fantastic and the people extremely friendly.

Sirince is 8 km from Selcuk.
You have to GO VIA Selcuk to get there. Either by your car or by dolmus.
I spendt half a day in Ephesus and the afternoon + evening in Sirince. I felt I had tooo litle time, but that is me. I will return to Selcuk and Sirince later and do what I missed those days I stayed in Selcuk.
