| Trakoscan | Visiting Trakoscan Posted: Tue September 11, 2007 03:22 PM UTC
Is it possible to do a daytrip to see both Varazdin and Trakoscan in 1 day? I will be staying in Zagreb, and I will not have a car. Would you recommend leaving for Varazdin early in the day, and seeing that town, and then heading to Trakoscan? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!! |

Getting from Zagreb to Varazdin is fairly easy by either bus or train. By bus dozens of daily departures, price 61 kuna one way (cca 10 $), takes approx 1 hr and a half to get there. Trains – also bunch of departures, it takes from 1h30 to almost 3h to get there.
Trakoscan is not far from Varazdin (40 km), but am not sure how easy is to get there with no car. Think the best way is asking someone local if there is a bus connection Varazdin-Trakoscan (not sure about this) or daily excursion from Varazdin.
