For about P500 per night there is/was some very basic rooms, with shared bathroom, right on the Alona beach but there are no websites and no contact details I am aware of. You may just have to arrange a room when you get there.

Alternatively, stay in a pensione house in Tagbilaran and just visit Panglao Island.

Me personally, I am happy to stay in Tagbilaran, as I don't need the beach. The main attraction for me on Ppanglao island is the Hinagdanan cave.

I usually stay at the Bohol Tropics, in Tagbilaran, which I don't consider budget some may.

I have also stayed at the Chricent Ville pensione House in Tagbilaran, which is definitely budget but value for money.

theres a place in panglao were you can spend php1,850 with free breakfast and a swimming pool with a nice beach. or if you want to stay in the city there's a resort that cost you only php1,200 with free breakfast and with pool also.
tourist guide is okey but if you can get a good driver that can take you around bohol for the countryside tour, its better and cheaper.

Accommodations on lona beach are quite a little expensive. but one would surely enjoy this small community of resorts and diveshop. just in case you like a more tranquil and quiet place, there is one in Doljo are named muro ami seaside. Aircon room is pegged at P1,000 / 2 persons. theres also a floating cottage and seafood market cook ala ituro mo, iluluto ko. contact # is 038-5029674

halu! theres a lot of cheaper resorts in panglao but some of the resorts are unfamiliar but its quite good, thats why u need an assistance for you to catch up that resort. let me refer you this person the one who drive us and brought us on that resort. u dont need a tour guide if u can choose a good driver, he is the one who assist us and he can get lower rates for u. here's his number 09173604661 ( michael "ondoy")

Budget trip?

Best place to go is Citadel Alona in Panglao, about 8 minutes walk from the beach.

Its easy to see, since its the 1st resort you'll upon arrival in Alona beach :).

I've been to Bohol thrice and stayed at that place. Always happy w/ it. :)

hi.. want to know kamusta naman po ang bathroom ng citadel, nakit ako nga ang room nila ok naman pero d ba walang sariling cr or bathroom don mismo sa kwarto?? we're in group kz.. wish ko magreply ka...

The CRs in Citadel are clean and well-maintained. I think the fact that its outside for everybody allows the girls to clean it as often as possible. :)
