I know these questions have probably been asked and answered a thousand times, and I should know anyway as I've already been to Barbados twice, but as the GB Pound to US Dollar exchange rate is so high I wanted to know a few things.

What is the Exchange rate at banks for converting GB Pound Travellers Cheques to Barbados Dollars?

What is the Exchange rate at banks for converting US Dollar Travellers Cheques to Barbados Dollars?

Do Restaurants, Bars, Shops etc. accept US Dollar travellers cheques as cash?

Do Restaurants, Bars, Shops etc. still price at 2 Barbados Dollars to 1 US?

As I say, sorry if these questions have been asked before but an accurate answer could save us a lot of money.

Exchange rates are based on the exchange of the day.. so it will depend.. there is no fixed rate from GBP to BBD. US Dollars are more accepted than travelers cheques, but if you want to bring them it would be best to change them at a bank here than taking them to the Bar or Restaurant or shop to make a purchase with them.

the basic exchange rate is 2 to 1 (BBD to USD), however, recently I've noticed trying to give USD (having some left over from vacation in the US), and they pull out the sales person pulls out the calculator to do a exchange likely on 1.98 BBD to 1.00usd or even lower in the BBD.

Sorry for the not so accurate answer.. but much depends on the ROE of the Day.
