Bari late night dining in Bari
Posted: Sun September 9, 2007 01:46 PM UTC
I am a single girl arriving in Bari on the 14th...I will not get to my hotel till about 10 30 pm...is there anywhere that I can get a late night pizza or more at this time ? It is my first visit to Italy in 15 years and I will be very dissapointed if I cannot eat on my first night !

I will also stay the next night and would like a recommendation for the best food in Bali (nothing touristy please) family trattoria with exceptional cooking !!
I am renting my car on the Sunday (hoping the traffic will be easier to negotiate) I am going down to Polignano a mare..does anyone know of a great Sunday lunch venue? Will I have to reserve?
I do speak Italian (or at least I did 15 years ago !!)..I have not booked my hotels yet iether...any recomendation for good B & Bs or 3 star hotels in Central Bari where I can walk to the historic center on saturday would be appreciated.. Is there a market on Saturdays?

Thankyou..mille grazie...

Don't worry, 10:30 PM isn't at all late for Bari.... You will find any restaurant stil working...
In Polignano, see my restaurant tip... U went there twice, and found it always good.
To reserve? mmmm better! The place isn't big at all.
Ciao
Francesco

See my Bari page.
If you can find 'Vini e cucini' you will get really good plain local food at a good price in a seriously authentic atmosphere on the eastern edge of the historic center. (I wouldn't advise venturing much deeper into the center late at night.).
As for touristy, Bari isn't really a very touristy place, so you'll be OK as far as that goes.
