How is the weather in the first week of Jan in Ooty? Kindly advice on Villa Park Hotels - are they Hygenic & spacious? |

We are also planning Jan 1 in Ooty. I keep reading complaints about the cold and lack of heat in AUGUST! From previous experience with unheated hotels in other countries in the East, it is important to know how they heat the room before booking.
Here is something on the winter temperature: "Being a hill station, the climate in Ooty is cool and temperate throughout the year, with temperatures in the summer ranging from 10 degrees to 25 degrees Celsius and in the winter ranging from 21 degrees to as low as 5 degrees Celsius.
