The route is shared between Portuguese bus operator EVA and Spanish company DAMAS.
Buses leave from Plaza de Armas bus station which is not far from the bullring and near the river (canal) on the west side of the old city. You can look up schedules on either http://www.damas-sa.es/ or http://www.eva-bus.com/ In the winter I think there are fewer buses and not any at weekends BUT don't take my word, check !
