Hi, I'm going to Uruguay in this September and I'd like to know if there is any bus that goes direct to Punta del Leste from Colonia.
I'll be in Buenos Aires, and planning a 1-day trip to Uruguay and just want to go to Colonia and Punta del Leste, avoiding Montevideo. I have saw in this site that they have a trip to Punta del Leste which includes bus, but I don't think they will be stoping to allow me stay for few hours in Colonia. http://www.coloniaexpress.com/ar/horariosytarifas.php Any sugestion? Yes, you can take the ferry to Colonia and then bus on to Punta del Este. You will go through Montevideo, not much way to completely avoid it since the main highways go through the city.
Use this link to book http://www.buquebus.com/ or you can go to the Buquebus office in Buenos Aires on Posadas #1452 just off Callao and purchase your tickets there. suerte SAM

Yes, I guess there is no way to make a 1 day trip to Colonia and Punta. Too many hours in the bus... I'll be going just to Punta, to see Casa Pueblo!
