Hello,
You look like someone I met in front of the Petronas Towers a few weeks ago. Being an Islamic nation, all F&B outlets run by Indonesians are all Halal. I've been to Bandung just 3 months ago but I can't offer you much advice because I went there with my family, which equates to a "package tour". Nonetheless, Bandung is still Indonesia, and Indonesia is notorious for petty theft. So be on your lookout everytime. Cheers

Beware that you're posting on the wrong forum. It should be Bandung of West Java (the capital city), not of East Java (small remote village).
Except in few pure Chinese restaurants, foods are all halal. Nightlife places spread all over the city. Some karaoke rooms and pubs in Jalan Sudirman. Night time road-side food stalls along Jalan Gardujati, Jalan Cibadak, and Jalan Pasirkaliki. Youngster places, cafes, and food hawkers in Jalan Juanda/Dago. There are some affordable hotels nearby train station, Jalan Pasirkaliki, and Jalan Gardujati. Lots of happenings and not too far from airport. Bandung is considerably safer than other big cities in Indonesia because Bandung people are generally nice and friendly. You can't generalize just because it's in Indonesia. After all, crimes are common in big cities in the world, including cities in Malaysia. We all should always be cautious where ever we go.
