Walking / Cycling in Goreme to Rose Valley??

Can anyone give me an idea on how long will be for the following?
1. walking on foot from goreme to rose valley?
2. by bicycle (not motorcycle since I don't know how to drive)?
Is it safe to walk there if I want to see the sunset?

it's certainly safe.
cappadocia is a very safe place in general.

i am in goreme right now myself and well be doing the walks you are talking about within the next three days and then i will get back to you with the exact info.
