San Gimignano Silver shop
Posted: Tue September 4, 2007 03:20 PM UTC
I was just recently in San Gimignano & purchased a beautfil hammered sterling silver bracelet from a small shop, but I can't remember the name of it & the transaction name on my credit card statement only says VIOLETTI GIOIELLI. Does anyone know about this shop - all the silver is hand-made & it appeared to be run by a husband & wife team.

Thanks so much!

A quick scan of the relevant sites comes up with VIOLETTI GIOIELLI being a jewellery store/manufacturer in Frascati. There is no record by the same name in San Gimignano. Is it possible that your card statement is showing the manufacturer. If so, then they can be contacted at Piazza S.Pietro 13, 00044 Frascati. Tel no:069 42 19 90.
This is a long shot

I checked the Yellow Pages of San Gimignano and only one jeweller is listed, but the name shop is Bitta Gioielli, the address is a small street called Vicolo Piandornella.
