Gold Coast Gold Coast Accomodation Help

Hi all,

me and my girldfriend are planning to go gold coast after the exams in november.
november 9th to 12/13th. We are international students and are not familiar with gold coast at all. We prefer to stay at surfers paradise and have no idea which hotel/apartment to go with. However, we have limited budget of around 100-130 per night. We prefer a place that is near to the theme park and still have night activities.

In terms of Transport, any suggestions?

Are there any tourist spots that we must visit? And how do we get cheapest theme park ticket(Dream world and movie world). Out of the 4days 3 nights, we allocated 2 days to travel around and 2 days to spend our time in the theme parks.

Any suggestions?
Can anyone quote us how much money we have to bring?

Thanks
Edmond from Melbourne

Hey Edmond - although wotif.com.au won't allow you to book now for accomodation as far out as November, it can give you an idea of the hotels in the range you've specified.

Cheapest theme park ticket? Not too sure about that one, but am sure coupons can be found in the GCoast.

Transport - there are shuttle buses going to the parks, and there is also public transport that takes a little longer but gets you there in a cheap way.

Money to bring? Women like to shop - so LOTS.

Have fun!

It looks like you are looking for more expensive hotels, but in case you are interested in staying in a budget hostel I highly recommend Surf and Sun...it's right on the beach and it's great for meeting other eople. They also organize nightly pub crawls - the staff is super friendly. They have double rooms as well and I believe they have ensuite. (though if you are not used to staying in hostels then it might not be for you). I'd have to say it was one of the friendliest hostels I've ever stayed at. You can also get your theme park tickets right through them.
