The cone shaped boundary lines can be found at http://72.159.158.73/CityMap/ on the City of North Charleston website. A nice mall and Wal Mart and plenty of restaurants can be found at Ashley Phosphate Rd. East exit 209 off I-26 just west of the airport. Exit 211 leads you to Remount Road which is now known as "Little Mexico" because of illegals and the welfare crowd. Stall Road and Ashley Heights off Ashley Phosphate Rd. West are well known for illegals. The 213 West Exit will lead you to the "Center Pointe" area beside the 18,000 seat coliseum. Another Wal Mart and Sam's Club, hotels, Tanger Outlet, IHOP and other chain restaurants are at Center Pointe. Once a strong, proud middle class military town we have digressed with the closing of the Naval Base and Shipyard in 1995, and the institution of political correctness, integration and welfare programs. Instead of crime happening only in the projects like before, it happens everywhere. Bank robberies occur weekly. There is a movie theater at the 213 East exit and stores and car repair shops along Rivers Avenue/Highway 52. North Charleston becomes a traffic nightmare from 4 until at least 6:30 pm. A fender bender on Westbound I-26 sends thousands of cars off the interstate and bottlenecks Dorchester, Rivers, and North Rhett. The 526 Mark Clark Expressway clogs from the South and North as traffic tries to get on I-26. Rubbernecking is a horrible problem as gawkers slow opposite direction traffic. Smoking is allowed in businesses as of Nov. '07. A 2 a.m. bar closing ordinance is being considered. City of Charleston has no smoking and 2 a.m. bar closing in effect. So come to North Charleston and smoke and enjoy it.
