| Pulau Tioman | Nipah Beach Resort Posted: Sun September 2, 2007 05:20 PM UTC
Has anyone stayed at the Nipah Beach resort? It is advertised as a great place for backpackers but I can't find any traveller's reviews....
I am searching for a resort away from the main tourist hubs, do you have any suggestions? |

Hello,
I was told by fellow travellers that Nipah doesn't have white sandy beaches. Not that it is not nice, but I just want my beach holiday to have white powdery sand. I also heard from them that Nipah is very very isolated. If I remember correctly, you can't go directly to Nipah from Mersing. You have to alight at Tekek, and then take a 'shuttle' service there. I'd recommend Salang. Salang is the last village on Tioman. It is comparatively quiet then Tekek or perhaps ABC. Argh, can't wait to go back to Tioman, school is killing me! cheers

Hi protonemura;
I guess Nipah beach resort was not in Tioman Island. It is in Pangkor Island to the west of peninsula Malaysia. I've been there. I can say that it is not worth to stay there. I'm there with my family before. No BF for the price of MYR 160, but near to that place you can have nice beach. If you want to be there in Pangkor Island. It have lots of challet, no need to book. Unless you want to stay at hotel. For your review of Pangkor Island I often use http://www.cuti.com.my Pesonaly better to visit Tioman Island then Pangkor Island. Beach is more better there. For Tioman Island if you will be at Air Batang area.. You can walk along the beach. There are alot of challet here offer the price from MYR20 to MYR 100 plus, even it is in peak season (school holiday). for the nice quality hotel, you can also see the review in that url http://www.cuti.com.my Hope that the info, help you.
