Belgrade to Sarajevo by train? Posted: Wed September 3, 2003 03:14 PM UTC
Hello, I read somewhere that there are direct busses between these cities, but I wonder if it would be possible to travel by train, as I always prefer that mode of transportation (even if there is no direct link). Of course, if it were really too complicate or too long, I'd go by bus. Thanks in advance for your advices...

Hello, There is no railroad - so no trains, sorry (unless you want to go quite round trip through Croatia). Sretan put! Marcin

There is no direct train connection between these two cities, which is, IMO, a good thing. Bus connections are complicated enough, not to mention what it would be like if there were a train connection. Since you're probably going to take a bus, I'll give you one good advice; under no circumstances take a Romanija Prevoz Bus. That's a Pale (town in Republic of Srpska) based "company". As soon as you see their buses you know that something must be wrong. They're old, filthy etc. Have a nice trip!
