| Rotterdam | What cloths to pack for Rotterdm?! Posted: Sat September 1, 2007 09:39 AM UTC
I'm coming all the way from hot Israel to visit a friend in Rotterdam (for the first time in my life) and i'm clueless as to what cloths should i pack? 18 degrees can mean allot of things..
Is it short T shirts? Long sleeves? Light tops? Heavy Coat? Thanks |

The weather take turns: a little sunny, rain chowers, windy.
Recommendations for the coming time. Rain coat at hand and no shorts. Along the Maas river it's open and windy. PJ

I tend to changeover to long sleeves at the moment, but I slide them up during most of the day.
Just see what Rotterdammers are wearing today at: http://www.jip.org/usecms/webcam.html PJ

Layers. Dress in layers.
Of course we can feel warm at 18 degrees but you might perceive it as cold. I'd certainly take something against rain. Fleece sweaters or a fleece jacket are perfect to wear when it feels chilly. No heavy coat. But yes, a coat. A pair of socks. Tshirts or vests to wear under a shirt. Nothing extreme. September can also turn into a late summer, like it did last year. Meaning it can also be 25 degrees. Have fun! Rotterdam is a great city. I love it for work and play :-)
