Hi everyone,

Just want to know if anybody of you heard about MV Dona Rita Sr. from gothong southern vessel, if they are still operating the same route which travels from CDO via cebu-dumaguete then caticlan. I heard that they have a Maiden voyage last march, so I just want to know if until now they do the same route.

all i know is, there are only three major sea carriers that ply the route of cagayan - cebu. the cebuferries of the aboitiz shipping, trans asia and the sulpicion lines. MV DONA RITA of gothong is i think its route is cebu - dumaguete and have a ports of call in caticlan.

Thanks for your reply, I actually want to verify it if it's tru, coz I read it in sunstar newspaper about there maiden voyage, last march the prices are also in the news which is from 769 economy to 1,149 cabin and 2,799 pesos for suite. Leave cagayan friday and arrives in caticlan sunday, they prices seems good even the cabin one, but I can't find an wed site or even email address. The only info that was there are tel. no buy it's not easy for me to have an overseas call as it takes a while for them to answer you will be put into hold which is every minutes are counted. I sent email to the department of tourism inquiring about there, but they also sent me the same article the one which I read in the internet sunstar. The no. in cdo office are 856-9205 - 856 1817 and 725505.

ok, i'll try calling my friend in cdo who happens to be working with PPA (philippine ports authority). maybe next week we may have some results.

i don't know of the information you got, but the three telephone numbers you gave, only one was correct. 856 8905 but the guy there at the end of the line told me that mv dona rita sr. travels only from cagayan to cebu and they have no vessel that goes from cagayan to caticlan. not satified, i called some people there in cdo but they have no information with regards to other vessels that goes to caticlan.

The department of tourism cagayan de oro who give me that article in sunstar newspaper, but anyway I might just catch a ferry to cebu then fly to caticlan.
