In this forum, there is mentioning about possibility of taking bus to Masada. My question is how far from the bus stop to the base of Masada where the cable car office locates. Thank you.

Egged is Israel's largest bus operator - and they offer a tour to Masada and the Dead Sea daily. See the website: http://www.egged.co.il/Eng/main.asp?lngCategoryID=2727 . Id imagine this goes direct to the park/cable car.

You don't need to take a tour. You can just take a regular Egged bus. Their site has a station named "Masada", but I don't know if it's on the main road or the bus actually goes into the parking lot, next to the cable car. Anyway, you might get more answers if you post this question in more suitable forum, not the Tel-Aviv one.

Egged bus goes into the parking lot of Massada - however when you book your ride check again just to be sure - Have a great time ! mary
