Will be visiting Asuncion during October. Seeking recommendations for hotels in the range of US$15-25 for a single room. Also suggestions for clubs, bars, pubs, and lounges, preferably with dancing, where I can meet people in their fourties and fifties.

Hi,
for nights out I think you should check Paseo Colonial or Paseo Carmelitas in Villa Morra about 3km from the city centre. You have also other option which is britannia pub in Cerro Cora and Tacuary (city centre) popular with ex pats. For accommodation, check online for Portal del Sol in Villa Morra, La Rosada bed and breakfast between Villa Morra and city centre or look when you arrive (they dont have web sites) for Hotel Parana, Chaco or City in the city centre. good luck, Jose
