Is there a bus from Cortona to the train station in Florence in the morning on a Thursday?.How long does it take? Other ways to get to the train if you don't have a car. Thanks. Carol in Ann Arbor

There is a town bus from Cortona down to Camucia at the bottom of the mountain. From Camucia (called Camucia-Cortona on the rail timetables) there are frequent local trains direct to Firenze. The trip takes between an hour and a half and and hour and three quarters.
Check www.trenitalia.com for timetables. The station you want is Firenze SMN.
