Does Nepal have a mobile phone network?
I am travelling there next month and was wondering if I will be able to get mobile phone coverage there? |

I'm with Vodafone and there was no converage at all in Nepal. I'm not sure about other Australian networks being covered in Nepal. Chinese networks work and I'm sure you'll be able to find a sim card in Kathmandu that is for the local network.

I just checked and Telstra and Optus don't cover Nepal either. You'll need to get a sim card over there.

If you have roaming services from your network then i think it will work in Nepal. You can visit telecoms website if you need more info or you can ask them too about your problem. www.ntc.com.np, www.spicenepal.com

No, it won't. Mundo_61 is from Perth and no Australian networks have any relationship with Nepali networks. The only option is to get a simcard over there. Trust me, I just came back from Nepal and my phone had no coverage all over the country. I have also checked the other carriers.
