hi there,
in order to answer your question you need to put some more info on your VT page: How old are you, where do you live. You need a passport, maybe visa, travel arrangements, accommodation, money...

Apart from a passport, we cannot know what papers you need since we don't know your nationality, how long you would be coming to Belgium for, or what the purpose of your visit would be, apart from visiting your friend! However, assuming that you are of a nationality that will require a visa, this explains the various types of visa available and what documents you need to get them:
