| Antwerp | Safety in Antwerp, around Radisson Posted: Sun August 26, 2007 11:38 AM UTC
Hi further to my earlier questions.
It is confirmed now.. will be staying at the Radisson in Antwerp for two nights. A quick question.. I understand that the hotel is a little away from the tourist area and restaurants. Please advise would it be safe for me to veture out alone for dinner, say around 8-8.30 and return by 11 pm. Is the area safe for a single woman? What is the best dining option nearby? (not to expensive but belgian food)? Also are there any super market/ departmental stores nearby? Thanks Vidhi |

Hmm... I would prefer the restaurant in the hotel. It's not really the most popular area in Antwerp, you know.

Hello.
The centre of Antwerp is very well policed. You are not staying in a very central position and if you want to out and eat I would suggest you ask reception/concierge to book you somewhere in the Grand Place and arrange a taxi for you both ways. It is a great place to visit, but like anyway has a crime problem, although I felt quite safe last weekend.
