| Jersey | I like to know the prices of the Island ! Posted: Sat August 25, 2007 12:16 PM UTC
I heard that a cigarette and alcohol are more inexpensive with the jersey than the British mainland, but will the other things be cheap?
(Chocolate, Crisps and etc..... ) I go to the island in this autumn; is planning it. (but it's so long long way from my home....) Thanks, MAIGO |

I'm afraid that everything will be at least a bit more expensive than in the mainland UK, simply because Jersey is an island and thus shipping costs have to be included.

Hi, J-san and Anke-Thea-san!
Thank you for replies! They'er so helpful to me. After all because the jersey is an island.(France is nearer, besides) NO VAT = shipping charge The prices are not extremely different from the British mainland. ( I thought everythins ceaper in Tax-free Island.....) Tkanks again,

Hello Maigo,
VAT is a tax, not a shipping charge.
