| Livorno | Livorno to Florence Posted: Fri August 24, 2007 04:03 PM UTC
Royal Caribbian were unable to tell me the name of the dock that their ships tie up at however I searched the Port of Livorno web site and read that the cruise ship dock is "Porto Di Livorno 2000" Do you know if this is correct and if so is it an easy walk to the train station or do I need to get a bus?
I have also heard that the trains are not reliable and we could easily miss our ships sailing time. Do you have a comment about this? Franka2 |

Your ship will most certainly dock @ porto livorno 2000. Most cruises arriving in Livorno lay on shuttle buses to the centre of town(near the Central Station).
If not, there is a shuttle service to the Station organised by porto livorno 2000 themselves. Check out www.portolivorno2000.it. These buses run every half hour. The journey takes about 10 minutes and the distance is approx. 3 kms. Livorno Centrale is on Piazza Dante. Trains in Italy can be a bit irratic, so catch an ealier one rather than the last one possible. For train times and fares go to:www.trenitalia.com
