3 nights in Budapest. Any good place for a day trip?
Posted: Fri August 24, 2007 08:23 AM UTC
We will be in Budapest in Oct. We'll be arriving late afternoon so we've only got day 2 and 3 for fightseeing, plus half of day 4. Would anyone suggest that we take a day trip anywhere? We purchased a European East Pass and thus our train trip is still covered for 1 more day. But wouldn't fancy too long a train trip since by then we would have been on a number of train journeys! (Travelling Prague-Vienna-Salzburg-Budapest). I am interested in scenery and outdoor sights, not so much museums and such. Also how about boat trips along the Danube? Any available in middle of Oct? Perhaps if anyone can help with some suggestions I can start googling those places. Thanks!

Actually you would need more than 2 days for Budapest alone. I think you will be able to spend your time in Budapest without getting bored.
