Some advice, please. Is it worth the trouble and expense of getting travelpasses if we will be in Lucerne only 3-4 days (me and husband, plus two friends)? We had wanted to go on a boat trip (maybe with a meal?), go up and down the mountain, go back and forth to Immensee, around Lucerne...thanks for your opinion!

You might want to get a "Tell Regional Pass". This pass covers all public transport around Lucerne, and does cover most mountain railways too (which Swiss Pass doesn't). So if collecting peaks is what you want to do this would be a good choice.
