I am traveling once again to Loei this year and always like to stay at guest houses rather than hotels. Years back I remember staying at Mr Dums guest house and wonder if it is still in existence. If not can anyone recomend a guest house to stay at.

My friend always stays at Phu Luang Hotel which he says is a bit rough some have been renovated (twin beds), 400ish.
King Hotel is recommended as it has a restaurant downstairs for about 500 baht. Loei Palace is the upmarket hotel.
