I was wondering if anyone has recently been to Zimbabwe, particluarly Gweru and Antelope Park, and is it as bad as we are reading about in the media? My son is travelling there next month as a volunteer at Antelope Park and there has been some awful stories in the media.

Hi there!
Your son should be at Antelope Park by now right? Don't worry what the media says. Bad news always and only hits the media. I have got my dad and brother living in Bulawayo which is right near Gweru and there is no violence. Zimbabweans are wonderful people and I'm sure your son will have a memorable time. I'll be in Zimbabwe end of October. Take care Don't worry be happy!
