Villefranche Getting around from Villafranche to Nice

We are taking the Voyager Of the Seas cruise and will be docking in Villa franche for the day, can anyone reccommend the most economical transport for getting around the area.

Hi

There is a bus service into Nice, but I'm not sure how regular it is. Perhaps if you got together with another couple you could take a taxi. It isn't far and should be quite cheap if the fare is divided. It will also be faster and give you more time in Nice itself. There are likely to be taxis near the harbour waiting for you, as Villefranche is a very popular stopping point for cruises.

It's a lovely area and the Nice (old town) with its winding, (and smelly), little streets. If you're fortunate enough to go in on Sunday morning, you may find the flower and vegetable market in full swing.

If you go up the main shopping street on the Gallery Lafeyette side, to outside the mall, you may see one of the sights of Nice - the Cat Man - worth a few photographs.
