Hi there

I will be arriving in Heidelberg on 15 Sept evening. May I know if there are any recommended hostels which are cheap and available?

It seems that the accomodations in Heidelberg is quite expensive.

When she was in college, our daughter stayed at a hotel that was near the zoo. It can't be that bad or expensive, or she wouldn't have done it.

All I know is that she was awaken in the morning by the sound of lions' roaring.

I don't know this hotel, but it looks nice. It is ,however, not in Heidelberg and not the cheap hostel you were asking for in your original posting. If you're willing to spend about 100 Euro, I'm sure you'll find a place in Heidelberg itself. Do you have a car?
You can check www.hrs.de and type in 100 Euro price limit in Heidelberg. You'll see lots of hotels below this limit.

I forgot: If you're in the area for business, then this hotel is a very good choice. But if you're here for sight-seeing in Heidelberg, then it's better to stay in Heidelberg.
