hi all,

based on the forum discussions, i think playa blanca is a good resort to stay at. i'm yet to give them a call this week. now, i need help on tour packages. does anyone know packages for the cheapest day (countryside: chocolate hills, tarsier, loboc river) and sea (dolphin watching) tours? how much will the total cost be? what does it include?

any help will be greatly appreciated! travel date is august 31-september 2.

hi! my husband & i will be in bohol on aug 26-29. i have contacted jojo something of pamilican. he offers 2,500 (max 4 pax) for a half-day dolphin watching & island-hopping; & 2,000 countryside tour. unfortunately, there are only 2 of us going, so its quite expensive. sayang! had i known ur sched earlier, we could have moved our trip (i was actually looking for a couple who are going on the same dates)... we have bought our tickets already & have finalized reservations with other hotels for our connecting destinations.

hi! my friends and i went to bohol last july 28-30 and we hired kuya rod to take us around. He owns the tour company. he has vans and cars for tours. He is really really nice and he goes out of the way just to make sure that we get the feel of bohol. Super cool guy plus he is our official photographer hehe :) you may reach him at 0918-5914969. The funny thing is this, we paid 2k for the day tour and then at the airport, it was to our delight that we got kuya rod because his van was a mercedes van so it was really comfortable. The others charge the same rate but the van they use are not as nice. the next day since he was really great, we decided to contact him again so that we could tour the other half of bohol. He gave us a discount! I really recommend kuya rod. YOu may ask him for a contact for the bangka ride to go dolphin and whale watching and snorkeling. I hope I was of help. Have a great trip!

thanks! i am reading all that the others members have posted and i really think this is such a helpful site! i'm now listing all the things that we could do while at panglao. i'm so excited! ;)

i have another question... is it really necessary to stay in an aircon room?

will it be inconvenient to sleep in a fan room this season? how's the weather in panglao these days? i'm really thinking about this one 'coz there's a lot of difference between the two. and we'll only be using the room to sleep anyway. most of our stay there will involve outdoors activities.

we were in panglao yesterday, went dolphin-watching, balicasag & puntod island. the weather was great -- didnt rain the whole day & the sun was hiding behind the clouds. it has been raining here (tagbilaran) for the past 2 nights lang that we're here. we just finished the countryside tour & it was really great! our driver was egie reyes (09206076152), 1,800 all 7 spots + python, butterfly, dauis church, hinagdanan cave, alburquerque church (where panaghoy sa suba shot some scenes). his car is toyota altis brand new. he doesnt talk a lot, though...

niweis, we had a great time in panglao. too bad it rained when we had our sea tour though... :( we didn't get to see any dolphins!!! huhuhu... maybe next time... ;)
