Krabi Travel Forum

Hi,I'm signed up to do some volunteer work in the Ao Luek province of Krabi this coming December. Is anyone familiar with this area? What can you tell me about it's location and what the area is like? Also, I hear December is high season. What can I expect for temperature/rainfall? and how are the mosquito's at that time? I'll be living with a local family, and hints about what this might be like would be appreciated!

Average December:

Temps: High: mid 80's F, Low: mid 70's F

Rain: yeah it's possible, but if it does, it should be minimal.

Mosquitos: They'll be some around, especially after dark, so I think it's always best to have some 'spray-on' repellent.

I though Ao Luek 's located at Koh Tao. Or maybe have another Ao Luek.. ?

I jus' did a search, and there's an 'Amphoe Ao Luek' in Krabi Province.
