Guadeloupe Travel Forum

We are planning a trip to Guadeloupe in Decemberr and plan to stay at Canella beach hotel in St .Anne ( 70 Euro / room / night ) and Gite Pitchouri (280 euro per week for a studio )
Does anybody have experience with these places or a suggestion for a better location / better value for money ?

Any recommendations for a rent a car company ?

I would check the Trip advisor web site before boking Canelle beach. It doesn't sound too good

I stayed at Canella Beach in April this year, and it was quite ok, but a little bit far from the main rod ro Point-a-Pitre, about 10 minutes walk. Last year I stayed at Le Golf Marine in St Francis and the hotel was good, but for me to far from the west side. to get some idea of the rooms and around the area, though the comments on the photos are in Swedish.
I will return to Guadeloupe and Gosier, but if it will be Canella Beach I don’t know. You can cook your own food or use their restaurant and also walk about 5 minutes to eat at several places.
