north of east ridge road is a pretty good area all the way from St. Paul on the west to Culver Road on the east. Most of the properties in that part of Irondequoit has maintained property value and the escapees from the inner city have not yet infiltrated that area.
But you do not have to go more than a couple blocks south of east ridge road before finding some problem areas where low income housing and rough neighborhoods are plentiful.

south and west of the air port is pretty good if you do not mind the constant noise from both the planes and the CSX rail system in the area.
east of the airport, especially east of the I-390 is getting into a changing area where property prices are starting to lower and rentals outnumber home owners.
